Formed in 1995, INEX was developed to promote, organize and sanction Legend Car and later Bandolero events across the United States. Since then, INEX's reach has spread across the globe, providing official rules and guidance to organizers from Australia to Europe. INEX is the third-largest racing sanctioning body behind NASCAR and the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) with more than 2,500 members. Annually, INEX sanctions over 2,000 races at over 140 tracks.
INEX's primary goals are to promote uniform rules and safety standards for the U.S. Legend Cars International program. INEX officials collect and disseminate information regarding all types of USLCI cars, supervise and train all technical inspectors and assist and support all Legend and Bandolero racing programs.
At the beginning of each year, INEX releases the INEX Rulebook which describes in detail all the rules and regulations of the USLCI spec race cars. Updates and rule changes are released on USLCI/INEX social media pages and the INEX website.
Since the Legend Cars' inception, there have been more than 60,000 sanctioned races. INEX sanctions races on both asphalt and dirt ovals as well as road courses.
INEX remains dedicated to the highest standards of safety and cost-containment from which the rules are interpreted and enforced while maintaining a fun, family-oriented environment.
