Rule update #542022 (Seats)
- SEATS: Only INEX approved, Purpose built (circle track or road course racing), factory manufactured, aluminum or carbon fiber seats may be used.
Carbon fiber seats must adhere to the design specifications of the SFI 39.2 or SFI 39.1 certified seat construction standards. Carbon fiber seats must have a current, valid SFI 39.2 or 39.1 certification and have the official SFI sticker affixed to the seat to show proof of this certification.
All seats must be used and installed following the instructions provided by the seat manufacturer. If the seat is designed to incorporate the harness system mounting, this must also follow the instructions provided by the seat manufacturer.
Homemade seats are not permitted. Weight reduction outside of the manufacturers design and any seats modified from the manufacturers design are not permitted.
