A week long series concluded on Friday at Auburndale Speedway, as six drivers were crown 2025 INEX Winter Nationals Champions. The feature races saw three first time winners from this week and one driver accomplish a rare feat. Danny Chisholm, Dylan Faulkner, Brandin Wrisley, Ben Morabito, Landon Thrasher, and Brexton Busch all received top honors for their efforts. In addition, Jensen Jorgensen, Chase VanHouten, Jim Sylvester, LaQuan McCoy, Chase Spaulding, and Christopher Flynn were awarded MPI's Up on the Wheel Award for their hard fought charges through their feature races.
Starting from fifth wasn’t going to stop Maverick Bradshaw from climbing his way to the lead. He was assisted when Anthony Pedulla didn’t get the best start on the outside pole which allowed pole winner Mason Massey to slipped clear to the lead, followed by Jhett Phipps and Bradshaw. Two quick cautions in the first four laps slowed the race, but on Lap 4, Bradshaw took the lead from Massey through turns three and four. A few more cautions and restarts occurred, but Bradshaw wasn’t fazed. He did have to survive one final restart with two laps to go. Massey was all over his bumper from the drop of the green but Bradshaw wasn’t stopped, completing a clean sweep of the week.
Starting from pole, Brexton Busch only had to finish ninth or better to secure the Bandits Division Championship at Winter Nationals. It however, was not an easy day. A multi-car incident in Turn 4 on Lap 1 resets the field. On the second attempt, Busch makes a mistake in Turn 2, allowing Gerald White III to his inside. He gets stuck on the outside and falls back to fifth and begins his charge forward. White was stretching his legs as the leader when on Lap 10, Busch spun out on his own. He would later spin out again on Lap 15 after getting back up to seventh. During this time, White and Evan Johnson were exchanging the lead and crossing each other up, but on the Lap 15 restart, James Behnke took Johnson and Christopher Flynn three-wide to take the lead. He didn’t relinquish the lead but his race was easier when White and Johnson tangled with two laps to go. Behnke held off Flynn for the victory and Busch finished 4th, securing his second straight Winter Nationals Bandits Championship.

The tightest championship battle entering Friday was between Landon Thrasher and Wyatt Coffey. Separated by only six points, they were the only two to visit victory lane in the Outlaws Division at Auburndale entering the final round. Things became less complicated for Thrasher, when Coffey was involved in a multi-car incident on the second attempt to complete the first lap of the race. Coffey would have to charge is way back to the front, while Thrasher enjoyed the sight of no cars ahead of him. While Thrasher had Chase Spaulding looking in every direction to find a way around him, no number of restarts could assist Spaulding find a way around to the lead. Ultimately, Coffey finished fourth and Thrasher won his third Outlaws race of the week and secured the championship.

Trasher wasn’t done winning however, because after Chargers Division pole sitter Sadie Parsons and Bryson Carlbert tangled in a caution filled race, Thrasher inherited the lead with nine laps to go. The field struggled to stay under green and the race ended seven laps early, resulting in Thrasher earning his very first career Legend Car win and second in in 45 minutes at Auburndale. It's not everyday you see a driver hop out of a Bandolero that just won in and hop into a Legend Car and win that event, as well.
It took 15 laps for the first caution to be displayed in the Young Lions Feature and it erased a somewhat comfortable lead Matthew Laprade had over Ben Morabito. Now with 10 laps to go, the field was bunched back together and Morabito rocketed around the outside of Laprade. During the next restart, Morabito began to distance himself from Laprade but with four laps to go, Colton Hale did a miraculous job saving his out-of-control Legend Car. In reaction, several cars in the field stacked up resulting in LaQuan McCoy stalling in turn four. The final restart on Lap 22 was single file and Morabito now had 860 Motorsports teammate Spencer Bradshaw directly behind him. One lap after the restart with three laps to go, Bradshaw got to the inside of Morabito, and Laprade followed. Morabito finished third, which was enough to secure the Young Lions title, but it was Bradshaw who won the race, his first feature win of the week and a long-awaited victory behind the wheel of a Legend Car.

Kevin Foisy had come close to victory on a few occasions this week, but hadn’t been able to put the whole race together. In Friday’s Masters Division Feature, he sat on the pole and led flag-to-flag in his old Bubble Coupe Legend Car. Despite the victory, Foisy settled for second in the week-long points to Brandin Wrisley, who entered with a healthy 25-point margin. Wrisley raced conservatively, yet still found his way to second place. The two-time winner this week finished second, securing far enough points to win the 2025 Winter Nationals Masters Championship.

It was a hornet’s nest of cars at the front of Semi-Pro Division finale at Auburndale Speedway. The race was led by Mitch Wright early with side-by-side battles with Caden Tufts and several more behind them. Points leader, Dylan Faulkner wanted to make quick work of Cole Denton, but Denton didn’t make it easy. Faulkner was also dragging championship challenger, Chase VanHouten, along with him. VanHouten was about to lose a couple positions when a big crash in Turn 1 saved him, resetting the field. Two laps after the restart on Lap 8, Wright and Tufts touched, sending Wright dropping down the running order. Faulkner was the beneficiary, taking the lead and not relinquishing it. He now had Tufts to fend off, which he successfully did across two more restarts. VanHouten couldn’t find his way past fourth, and had to settle for second in the final points, with Faulkner taking home the championship.

The Pro Division went caution-less in Thursday’s feature. That wasn’t the case during Friday’s finale. On Lap 1, contact between Jackson Lewis and Joel Smith brought out the caution, spoiling any chance there was to repeat the previous day’s feat. Cautions littered the first handful of laps, but after a restart on Lap 6, Danny Chisholm made it known he was there to not only win the race, but secure the Pro championship for himself. He quickly scooted away from second place, London McKenzie, who in turn also drove away from the battle for third. Chisholm’s victory capped off an exciting week of racing in one of its most dominating performances, winning the championship over Jorgensen by 24 points.
