INEX is shaking up qualifying day during the upcoming Legend Car Dirt Nationals at BAPS Motor Speedway (Oct. 10-12) and Legend Car Asphalt Nationals at Dominion Raceway (Oct. 24-26). Legend Car on-track activities will conclude on October 11 and October 25 with the Bassett Fastest Qualifier Challenge.

The Top 4 qualifiers from each of the four Legend Car Divisions (Pro, Semi-Pro, Masters, and Young Lions) will automatically be eligable to compete in the challenge. However, should one of the drivers in a division's Top 4 decline to participate, the fifth place driver will be offered the starting position and if necessary, through the eighth place qualifier in a respective division.

"Adding a fastest qualifier challenge to the end our qualifying days during the upcoming Dirt and Asphalt Nationals caps off what is ultimately a day of hard work for the teams and drivers," said Brittany Beck, memberships and events manager at INEX. "As we explore options to refresh our national events, this idea was immediately proposed and we're excited to have Bassett jump aboard as the title sponsor of the challenge for both weekends."

A max of 16 cars will start the Fastest Qualifier Challenge at both Dirt and Asphalt National events, with the winner receiving a certificate for a FREE set of four brand-new Bassett wheels.

With the introduction of the Bassett Fastest Qualifier Challenge, the Race of Champions will be discontinued from event schedules.
